Giving No Poo a try- Day 1
So I thought I would give the No Poo method for washing hair a try. We shall see how it goes. Lately the shampoos are giving me a hard time. I have three that I rotate from. Mane and tail, Long Term Relationship from Herbal Essence and Deep Cleansing from Tresemme. My hair has just feeling blah and kinda waxy. And needing to be washed almost everyday.
So today i premix two large water bottles for about 4 uses. The bottles are about the size of a large shampoo bottle. One with baking soda and water. The other with white vinegar and water. (We do have apple cider vinegar but it hasn't been opened yet and the white vinegar was already opened.)
This is the recipe i followed.
1 Tablespoon of baking soda and 1 cup of water.
1 Tablespoon of white vinegar and 1 cup of water.
Then i got my hair wet in the shower. Poured the baking soda on my head and worked it in my hair and let it sit for a bit as i washed up then rinsed off well.
Then i poured the vinegar on my head and let that sit for a bit as i washed my face, after i was done washing my face i rinsed my hair completely again.
But as i said, i premade 4 uses. So i mix 4 tablespoons with 4 cups of water for both mixes. And marked the bottles of each cup as a guide for when i use the mixtures. So far it worked well. It was very cold when i poured each on my head. lol Some people just mix it right before but I can forget easily.
I have baby fine hair. So today after washing with the baking soda and vinegar, my hair feels very flippy, light yet full and fuffy. Way different then when i use shampoo. I like it and really hope it works out. The pictures are taken from my Ipod. Didn't feel like pulling out my camera. lol

Hair grow out Journey!
So since i want my hair longer and healthier. I have decided to cut down on the hair products and only use heat on a occasion as well with the styling products. So i mainly plan on using shampoo, conditioner, coconut oil and moroccan oil/argan oil. What made me think about cutting out some stuff was because when i was under the age of 18 i never used heat or products on my hair. And i had very long and healthy hair. So if my hair looked so good then why do i need them? Plus my hair is almost baby fine, thin and somewhat straight. When it gets longer it sorta has a bit of a wave to it.
So this is how long it is right now so in a month or so i post a update picture to see how much it has grown. My main goal is to the middle of my back, about above where my bra strap is or more. But that's a ways away, so right now im settling for where my arm pit is and then go from there.

Henna Day 1
So my mom and i decided to try out some henna. We bought a brand called Light Mountain. They had all different shades.
My mom had black hair before the henna, Which she used the red which is just straight henna. Which made it a reddish brown color. As you can see in some spot it looks coppery.
I on the other hand use the dark brown henna/indigo mix on my light brown almost blondish hair.
